According to this graphic there are a higher number of women than of men who care about the physical signs that appear when you get old.

From my point of view, these results are due mainly to the image of women that appear in magazines and may they are older than they actually are, but they have no wrinkles or signs clearly indicate their real age. The magazines’ pictures are often very Photoshoped and they condition the image that women want to show to others. Celebrities tend to look younger than they are. This is possible because they have many people behind them who control their lifestyle and therefore helps not get old as fast. They are also helped by cosmetics, makeup and operations to achieve the desired results. TV ads and social prejudices are also a strong influence.

The numbers of men who care about this fact is lower than the women’s, but are increasing the number of men who care about their image as women. This is caused for the same cases. This concern for aging is due to the influence of modern society where image is very important to attract each other.
